I’m currently preparing a book, which includes many of Tony’s and my  batik pictures.  They all feature NZ’s past and present. Some are caricatures. The pix and text are just a taste of what this book will include.

SPORTY TYPES
We New Zealanders are a nation of Sports Fanatics. There can be  few nations more sporty or more keen on competitive games. I am not a sporty type but I do enjoy recording the enthusiasm of some sports people.

DANCE OF THE SUGAR PLUM
This is Tony Burton’s team, the Eastern Cricket Club, engaged in the manly sport of cricket at Miramar Park, Wellington. They are a loveable assortment of ageing taxi drivers, chefs, dusties, fishermen, meteorologists, artists, journalists and cabinet makers. A keen, rakish, rumpled look characterises them all.
