Batiks

Batik is an ancient technique (far older than oil painting) in which waxes and dyes are applied to cloth to create an original art work.

For the past 38 years Tony and I have worked together creating  over 700 batiks for public buildings and private buyers.

I’m the  artist and designer. Tony is a talented craft dyer

We’ve exhibited  overseas and throughout NZ.  BBC arts critic, Michael Dean, said of our work.

“Their work is profoundly important. Illuminated by wit in the highest sense of the word.Wit that is perceptive about human nature.”
